Meeghan Henry launches New Music Video “They Don’t Know”

The Indonesian starlet, now 17, has changed her image from bubble-gum-pop-princess to sexy-young-woman in her new music video for her latest single ‘They Don’t Know‘, produced by Andrew Lane. The music video premiered worldwide on VEVO, a site for official music videos for professional artists, on October 5th, and launched at an exclusive premiere party at the ICON Ultra Lounge in downtown Los Angeles, where Henry herself performed a couple songs and the song of the night ‘They Don’t Know‘. In just a little over a day after the online premiere, the video received over 200,000 views.

“This video has been one of my favorite projects and I’m so proud to share it with the world,” Henry said. “It’s really different from all of my other stuff, which is why I think makes it so cool. It’s definitely a huge mark for me.” The video shows Henry as a type of alien who falls from the sky and claims her love for a boy at an underground dance scene. Nayip Ramos, the director, wanted to make it futuristic, just like the song.

“There were parts of the song that had some really cool effects on it and I thought ‘Hey. Her voice has this futuristic effect on it’,” Ramos said about the video concept. “To me, the song was about someone being in love with another person where people wouldn’t understand. Hence her being from another world, looking different, and exposing her special powers. When we finally finished the editing, special effects and we watched the video back, I couldn’t believe what we had put together. I was extremely proud.”

Henry plans on continuing her music path with a dance and futuristic sound. A statement was also released that she will be working on a project with former NSync member, JC Chasez.
